Plant Heroes is brought to you by the Plant Protection Program, part of the American Public Gardens Association and funded by the U.S. Forest Service.
We strive to provide valuable resources for public garden educators looking for innovative ways to get young learners excited about nature, teach them about the importance of plants, and engage them in protecting forest health.
As a member of the American Public Gardens Association you are eligible to request printed materials FREE OF CHARGE through our Program Store. Visit us today and get your materials!
Additionally, the Plant Protection Program offers FREE regional professional development events to public garden professionals through the Sentinel Plant Network.
The Sentinel Plant Network is a partnership between the American Public Gardens Association and the National Plant Diagnostic Network funded by USDA Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS). Our mission is to contribute to plant conservation by engaging public garden professionals, volunteers, and visitors in the early detection of serious plant pests and pathogens. Learn more here!
