i-Tree Unit Lesson 8: Planting Report


Activity Description: 

Students will create a report for their Tree Planting Designs on their efficacy in reducing carbon in their communities.

MS­ETS1­2: Evaluate competing design solutions using a systematic process to determine howwell they meet the criteria and constraints of the problem.

MS­ETS1­3: Analyze data from tests to determine similarities and differences among several design solutions to identify the best characteristics of each that can be combined into a new solution to better meet the criteria for success.

Common Core:

CCSS.ELA­LITERACY.WHST.6­8.2: Write informative/explanatory texts, including the narration of historical events, scientific procedures/ experiments, or technical processes.
